SUMMARY:MMC Juniors March Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to be kicking off the MMC Juniors series in 2025 with our first MMC Juniors meeting on March 16th from 2-4pm. At our first meeting\, we will get to know each other\, learn about what the badge program entails and then get into a guided activity. Meetings will all be virtual at this time\, so join us on zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85427477031?pwd=ZG6i6kIHwYoj51a1K92rIIK3fVTkUm.1 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll kids participating in the program will receive a Future Rockhounds of America (FRA) Membership Patch. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe first badge we will work on earning together is the Rocks & Minerals badge. Each kiddo will need to complete 3 activities in the FRA curriculum related to this badge. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you would like to check out the activity options for earning the Rocks & Minerals badge\, check it out here: https://www.juniors.amfed.org/fra-badge-program/the-badges/rocks-minerals. Kids are welcome to work through the activities on their own. The club sessions will afford the opportunity to work through two activities (the minimum requirement for a badge) over the course of two MMC Juniors meetings. Additionally\, the RRN will feature instructions for doing an activity at home. Thus\, over the course of two months\, kids should be able to earn a badge using our guided meetings & RRN content. \n\n\n\nWhen a kiddo completes the minimum three activities\, a badge completion form can be completed and sent in to juniors@minnesotamineralclub.org and MMC will certify that FRA send the badge out to your family.
