Rockhound Tools Needed: Rock hammer, chisel, pry bar, shovel, buckets, boxes (more to come)

Safety Considerations:  Our search areas are in the desert so you must always be aware of your surroundings.  Wildlife including snakes, spiders and scorpions could be anywhere.  Like Montana bring and use a “pokin stick”  Sunscreen and a sunhat are strongly recommended.  This is an arid environment so always have plenty of water.  Drink water regularly to avoid dehydration.  Be sure to keep your vehicle well fueled.  If you dig a hole – fill your hole.

Legal & Ethical: Areas we collect may be adjacent to private property.  Do not cross fences / barriers.  No collecting is allowed in National Parks including Carlsbad & Petrified Forest National Parks.  No collecting at the Trinity Site nor anywhere at White Sands Missile Range.  No photography at White Sands Missile Range with the exception of the Trinity Site.
