We will be taking a boat to gravel bars in the Yellowstone River near Glendive.  Gravel bars only accessible by boat are the most productive. Trips will occur on both days No bathrooms are located along the river.

For the boat trips, Eddie White (registered Captain) will shuttle people to various gravel bars. This will take some time if there is a large group, so patience will be valuable. You will need to be prepared to get your feet wet.  Groups will be self-selected when you register. We will offer guidance for rock hunting on the off day you are not booked for the boat!

For the boat portion of the trip all members will need a Montana Conservation License.

License. As of July 1, 2023 anyone using Montana state lands (in this case, the fishing access sites) will need a Conservation License. If you previously fished or hunted in Montana, you are probably familiar with this license. You can find more information online at their website here: https://fwp.mt.gov/buyandapply/conservation-license You can buy licenses online, as well as places you can buy fishing/hunting licenses.
